Ofsted 2024 Children's Services Report
Over the Summer our Chair of Trustees, Sue Willgoss, was interviewed by BBC Suffolk following the downgraded Ofsted rating of Children's Services. "The council need to make sure they follow these young people through... support them, especially those with special educational needs, up to the age of 25."

SEND Strategy 24-29 - 21/05/24
The 24-29 Suffolk SEND strategy has been signed off and will be published in June. SPCF have spent a considerable amount of time on this. Many other meetings were cancelled or postponed by the local area partnership to prioritise the strategy.
We were very concerned that there was a request to remove the word gaslit from parents and carers feedback. SPCF stood firm and would not remove the voice of lived experience. This involved additional meetings, calls and emails as well as giving up personal time at the weekend and consulting Refuge, practitioners and the Certain Curtain Theatre Company. We are pleased that our firm stance has meant parents and carers feedback is uncensored in the new strategy.
We will share the SEND Strategy and SPCF's contribution when it is launched later in June. In the meantime, here is are the comments from Councillor Reid at the Suffolk County Council Cabinet Meeting on 21/05/24 below thanking SPCF.
